Get Ready for Homeownership
The Get Ready Class is a 12-month education series designed to help individuals and families prepare to apply for homeownership through Habitat for Humanity. Each monthly session focuses on key areas of homebuyer readiness, including budgeting, managing debt, understanding credit, saving consistently, and organizing financial documents. Through practical tools and guided learning, participants gain a clearer understanding of their finances and develop habits that support successful applications through Habitat for Humanity and other first-time homebuyer programs.
Upon completion of the get ready class, you are eligible to apply for the Homeownership program!

One of the key criteria we look for in our homeownership program applicants is financial readiness. For many, this can be the most challenging obstacle in becoming a homeowner in our program or on the traditional market.
We’ve teamed up with Dominion Financial to create a financial education program!
Classes begin:
Classes Begin: April 16, 2026.
Classes will be held once a month for 12 months from 6:00-7:00 PM over Zoom and will focus on various topics related to credit, debt reduction, and money management.
This is a free program open to the public!
Completion of the Get Ready Program is required to apply for the Homeownership Program.
